Paper is safe! But we have QR codes, too.

It’s true - paper is safe. But we have a backup option, of course. QR Codes and a new digital access point for tourists and visitors alike.

Scan the code, access the information.

Scan the code, access the information.

Paper is safe, as verified by the Scottish government.

However, we understand that some members of the public may still feel less include to opt for physical media. To help ensure you information is still targeted and reaches your audience, we’ve teamed up with a company to provide QR code-triggered what’s on site to give your customers the option to see your information online.

The good news is that all early signs are indicating a huge boom in the UK staycation market as soon as this current lockdown comes to an end. With the continuing uncertainty over international travel and with the BBC, Guardian, Mirror and Sun all reporting the rise in people looking to get away for holidays in the UK this summer, now could be the perfect time to get in touch with us and see how we can best help you to use your available budget to get your message out there across the country.

So contact DD now and let us help you restart your business

Statement: September 2020

Direct Distribution's response for our customers:

We feel that this straightforward, definitive statement is doubly re-assuring given the cautious, science-led approach adopted by the Scottish Government. The Association of Scottish Self Caterers, Scottish Tourism Alliance and ASVA have adopted the same approach and have published the clarification in their latest update to members.

Direct Distribution is gearing up to resume operations - servicing our display racks and poster frames across Scotland as they open through Phase 2 and 3. We are contacting all of our outlets to check how and when we can gain access.

Our approach will be that the DD team will be fully equipped with PPE and cleaning equipment as well as clear guidance on how to service an outlet. On arrival we will introduce ourselves and follow any procedures laid out by the site. The merchandisers will then carefully deep clean the racks, place in fresh print and stamp them with a 'Fresh as a Daisy' wobbler.

PLUS We will brand the stand with a 'Know before you go' header, directing the public to check our clients' websites for updates. This message makes it easier for customers to use pre-lock-down print, saving time and money .

Are you an outlet getting ready to open? Do you want us to come in now to service your display? We will deep clean the display, refill the rack and brand it up ready for your customers. Contact us to find out how we can help.

Does paper transmit Covid-19 (Coronavirus)?

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has also advised that coronaviruses do not survive long on objects, such as letters or packages.

Does paper transmit Covid-19?

Paper continues to be an extremely safe medium to use. Evidence is available from many sources including the Royal Mail  “Is it safe to handle mail? Yes. Public Health England (PHE), the key health authority has advised that people handling letters and parcels are not at risk of contracting the coronavirus”. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has also advised that coronaviruses do not survive long on objects, such as letters or packages.

Further confirmation is in a recent article in the Edinburgh News. You can also see the public browsing/touching/putting back items in supermarkets, we are all getting mail and deliveries wrapped in paper and cardboard and doortodoor has started back up.

The government has also used it to deliver information and even pharmacies are handing out paper prescriptions to people. Contact us now
